Amber Run is a band that does not disappoint, live or on their records…
Upon first entering the 600 capacity room at the O2 Academy, Birmingham it was evident that this was going to be an intimate show and wow, that it was.
Kicking off with “Neon Circus” taken from their new album “Philiophobia” the crowd went wild, yearning for more.
Amber Run sound just as brilliant live, as they are on record. They preformed the perfect ratio of older, and more recent songs, like “What could be as lonely as love?” to a moment within the set that was a personal favourite “Amen“.
When Amber Run started performing Amen, it was evident that this was an emotional song for the vocalist, Joe, to sing; the room fell silent. The crowd clearly felt every emotion with the band, not a noise could be heard apart from Joe’s powerful voice.
Also performing another track off of their new album “Affection“
The band announced the lead singer from the support act “Stereo Honey” would be joining them on stage to perform this, which made the song even better than the original.
Amber Run are on tour now with Special Guests “Stereo Honey” & “Fatherson”
