Introducing – Katie Frost

It is a delight and honour to have one of Londons finest join our contributors, Katie Frost. Katie has boasts a rather impressive career to date you can read all about it below.

Katie is a freelance photographer from London (UK) specialising in rock and metal live music photography. When she first started going to gigs around 1999 she found herself only taking photos with a little point-and-shoot camera, trying to capture the action. However in January 2015 Katie received her very first DSLR, a Nikon D3300, as a birthday present and managed to get a couple of photo passes to shoot gigs around London. In the early days she photographed in-store band signing events at PULP on Oxford Street and was also part of the old House Photography team at MAMA & Co venues (including The Barfly, The Borderline and Kentish Town Forum).

If this wasn’t enough, in June 2015 she travelled to Norway to photograph Tons of Rock Festival as part of a workshop run by Per Ole Hagen ( who she had met through the How To Become A Rockstar Photographer Facebook group.

“This really opened my eyes to what concert photography was like and I absolutely loved it! I have photographed at the festival three times now and have got to shoot some huge names including Alice Cooper, Rob Zombie and Slayer.”

As Katies reputation has grown, you can see her work all over social media as well as being a part of The Moshville Times as part of the photography team ( and Stitched Sound (, She is also part of the House Photography team at Hoxton Square Bar + Kitchen, and also regularly photographs shows for Never Fade Records.

Just to add some icing on the cake she has also had some of her photographs published in Kerrang! Magazine.  As Katie has gone from strength to strength, her equipment has been upgraded too, earlier this year she upgraded to a Nikon D750 and is still shooting at venues big and small all over London.

As our team of incredibly talented photographers grows and grows, we are thrilled to welcome Katie with big open arms, if you want to see more of her work, you can check her out on the links below.
